We humans are comprised of body, mind and spirit, and there is significant evidence coffee has benefits for all three. Having been in the coffee business for a quarter of a century now, my exposure to information surrounding the positive effects of coffee is extensive. It is a widely known fact that coffee is rich in antioxidants. But there is so much more to the story. "Yes, coffee may be beneficial for gut health, with studies suggesting it can positively impact the gut microbiome by increasing microbial diversity and supporting beneficial bacteria through its polyphenols and prebiotic-like effects. The polyphenols and chlorogenic acids in coffee may act as prebiotics, feeding beneficial gut bacteria" (UCLA Health Sciences). More on the benefits of coffee for the mind and spirit coming soon!
